Digital Studio

Studio Guidelines

The digital studio at the Main Branch of the Worcester Public Library can be simultaneously used by a maximum of four people. The studio is available on a first come first served basis and is equipped with two Macs and two PCs. Users may use the room to access Adobe Creative Cloud, and other resources necessary to convert audio/video files or digitize photos/slides. Sign in at the Newspapers and Magazines desk on the first floor, and present a valid library card to be held at the desk until you complete your session.

To ensure equitable access, individuals and groups are required to limit the use of the room for a maximum of two hours per day. More time is permitted if no one else is waiting.

  • Lights must be turned on when studio is in use.
  • Door must be kept open and users may not leave their personal belongings unattended. The Library is not responsible for their items.
  • Users must report any broken equipment to a staff member immediately.
  • Users are expected to abide by the library’s “Patron Behavior Policy” and will be asked to leave the studio if they fail to comply with these rules.
  • Users must plan to allow enough time for cleanup and leave the room in good condition for the next user.
  • The use of the studio is a privilege and is allowed based upon the discretion of Worcester Public Library staff.
