PERIODICAL INDEXES

A periodical index points to a selected list of periodicals and is used as a key to locate articles on a particular topic. It provides subject access to over 500 magazines and newspapers and can also be searched by keyword and author.

 

 

  • Online Gale indexes provide access to articles from hundreds of magazines and journals on various disciplines.
  • Print indexes provide access to magazines in a variety of disciplines such as humanities, social sciences and general science from the 19th & 20th century. Selected periods of indexes for newspapers such as the Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor, New York Times and Wall Street Journal are also available.
  • The most popular print index, Reader’s Guide to Periodical Literature includes topics from Art, Applied Science, Business, Library Literature, History, Science and more.
